Maurizio Tempestini, this bijou two-seat sofa was designed in the 1940's and produced by Mario Tamberli in Florence. It was a custom design for the Settepassi's private residence. Tempestini did not only decorate their private residence but also their jewelery salon located on the Ponte Vecchio. A striking variation from the typical conversation sofa, it consists of two slightly inward-placed backrests and a rounded seat. When seated, one is positioned towards the other, creating an intimate space for two. This sumptouos design offers a surreal twist to the most classic conversational piece. Tempestini designs are well known for their high quality craftsmanship and their very original design. Most of them were custom made for the grand residences of his clientele in and around Florence.
